Our Blackheath (Cape Town) based client has been manufacturing since 1904 and is on the hunt for 2 x Junior Draughtspersons with a sharp eye, steady hand and big ambitions to assist with production drawings in a manufacturing / FCMG environment. Use your SolidWorks / Autocad 3D / Inventor 3D skills to ensure accurate dimensions, tolerances, correct materials are used and finishes are applied and assembly instructions are clear and precise. You will be required to provide detailed, assembly, sectional and exploded view drawings coupled with symbols and notations.

Requirements

Diploma Draughting / Computer Assisted Engineering graphics qualification
ND / Degree in mechanical engineering (advantage)
Experience with sheetmetal, parts and drawings in FMCG / manufacturing environment
Computer literate: MS Suite and SolidWorks / AutoCad 3D / Inventor 3D
Able to visualise in 3D
Sound knowledge of material types
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal in English
Admin, planning, organising and controlling skills
Able to work without supervision
Team player

Office admin regarding updating technical drawings

Create flat patterns for production
